Tips On Preparing Your Poster

The maximum size allocated for each poster is 3 feet 7 inches across by 3 feet 6 inches high (109 cm across by 106 cm high). Be sure to use a type size and font that will be easily readable. No electrical or multi-media displays. Consider including a small picture of yourself in the corner of your poster and uploading a picture to your profile in the online submission site so people looking for you at the meeting may recognize you. Also consider including contact information in case someone wishes to ask you questions about your work but is unable to connect with you at the poster sessions.


Onsite At The Meeting

Photographing, videotaping, or recording of any kind IS PROHIBITED (including but not limited to camera phones and digital devices)


Poster Location

All posters will be displayed daily- per the listed schedule. The poster area will be closed after the last event of the day in the center for security reasons. At times when exhibits are closed, posters will be walled off, and the entrance to the posters may be through a separate door so please follow signs.

Poster number will be sent to presenters who have registered for the conference and completed their abstracts after May 31st. When you are in Hawaii, posters will be listed in the Plant Biology 2017 app. You can search by presenter, title, or keyword. A listing of poster and the corresponding numbers will be included in your tote bag. You can request assistance in finding a poster number at registration.


Poster Setup

Poster setup begins Saturday, June 24th from 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Posters will be organized in rows by category. Put your poster on the half side of the board where your final poster number is located in the corresponding session category. Poster pins will be provided. Each side can hold two posters. No electrical or multi-media displays. Do not move the boards or your poster number. If you did not submit your abstract for poster online before the closing of the online site, place your poster in the un-numbered category. Un-numbered spots are on a first-come-first-served basis.


Poster Numbering

Poster numbers will be released after May 31st.


Poster Attendance

Sunday, June 25th

5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Time for all attendees to mingle, grab food, view posters.

5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: Posters ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8,): Author present at poster

6:30 PM – 7:15 PM: Posters ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9): Author present at poster


Monday, June 26th

5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Time for all attendees to mingle, grab food, view posters.

5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: Posters ending in numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5: Author present at poster

6:30 PM – 7:15 PM: Posters ending in numbers 6, 7, 8, 9 or 0: Author present at poster


Tuesday, June 27th

7:00 AM – 6:30 PM: Poster Open


Wednesday, June 28th

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Poster Removal. All posters must be removed by 12:00 PM.


Poster Removal

All Poster Must Be Removed By 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 28th 2017. Posters Not Removed Will Be Discarded.
